A New Jewelry Show Debuts In New York City

The brainchild of Konstantinos I. Leoussis, the NYC Autumn Jewelry & Objects show will debut during NYC Jewelry Week. It opens on November 16th and runs through November 19th, 2023, at The Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea. Leoussis is a designer, antique dealer, and, most recently, a show organizer. He established the company KIL Promotions in 2023 to “organize and create accessible opportunities for different types of global vendors and is in the process of curating a range of events in addition to this new show.”

International, high-quality vendors were chosen to participate for this show, from renowned dealers to up-and-coming jewelry designers. At present, the show comprises a range of antique and vintage dealers, including Alpha & Omega, Keyamour, Ishy Antiques, Lowther Antiques, D&E Singer, Jack Weir and Sons, Jewels by Grace and Leoussis’ collection of historical pieces at his booth, KIL N.Y.C, to name a few. The show is geared to everyone from jewelry students, starter and consummate collectors, other dealers, and retailers looking to update their inventory in their online and brick and mortar shops.

Leoussis explains, “I wanted to create a new and exciting jewelry event due to the dwindling number of jewelry-related shows in the tri-state area that could bring all sorts of dealers, collectors, and object lovers together from all paths of life. This is an amazing opportunity for antique jewelry dealers, watch dealers, contemporary jewelry designers, and object sellers to showcase their items in one of the greatest cities in the world, in an uplifting and supportive environment.”

He continues, “My goal was also to make it affordable for exhibitors to participate and to have the range of merchandise that scaled from accessibly priced Victorian pieces to the more high ticket Art Deco items in a welcoming environment that was also relaxed enough so that attendees could speak to our participants in depth about time periods they specialize in and specific pieces they are selling. Some of the bigger shows can be intimidating and I wanted this show to be anything but.”

Jennifer Shapiro co-owner with Jacqueline Smelkinson of The Spare Room Antiques, who participates in one other show in Manhattan, explains, “We are so excited to take part in this more intimate jewelry venue to showcase our early period pieces. The setting for this show makes it easy to shop and to converse about our pieces which are rich in history, symbolism and sentimentality.” She continues, “We are so glad to be back in New York City where the vibe is artistic, the people are wonderful and truly take great interest in learning about what they are buying and collecting.”

Here is a preview of some of the antique and vintage pieces from different exhibitors:

Ishy Antiques’ demi suite diamonds and emeralds, circa 1800s.

The Spare Room Antiques’ Georgian rock crystal riviere in a collet cut and closed back setting.

Keyamour’s Tiffany & Co. Art Deco diamond and onyx bracelet, circa 1925.

Lowther Antiques’ Georgian period Portuguese closed foil-backed topaz, circa 1780.

D&E Singer’s Swiss enamel locket bracelet, circa 1880.

KIL N.Y.C.’s Victorian cameos featuring Medusa and a portrait done by a famous Grand Tour carver named Giovanni Dies. The Maltese cameo is likely Portuguese and in 18K gold.

Alpha & Omega’s collage vintage jewels.
